Also, make sure if you are crate training your puppy, to take them outside when you bring them out of their crate.
At first, you may need to take them out in between these times as well and during the night.
Watch Them When you are at home with your puppy, you'll want to supervise them in a smaller area.
You can gate off spaces of your house to keep your puppy to a more confined area rather them allowing them to wander all over your house.
Make sure to watch for clues that they need to go outside, these include whining, scratching at the door, sniffing, circling or pacing.
When you recognize these make sure to take them out immediately.
