How to Make a Collar for a Webkinz
- 1). Cut several strips of varying thicknesses from the grocery bag. The strips should be six to eight inches in length and go around your Webkinz pet's neck twice. Consult with your pet and see what looks best on them. Discard the rest of the strips once you and your pet come to a consensus.
- 2). String the empty soda can lid onto the grocery bag strip to just before the halfway point of the strip. Make sure that there are no sharp edges on the soda can lid. The end that you strung onto the grocery bag strip will hold the collar together, and the other hole of the soda can lid will give you a place to clip a leash if you want to take your Webkinz for a walk.
- 3). Affix glue to one half of the grocery bag strip. Carefully wrap the strip around the neck of your Webkinz, with the glue side underneath facing out, so the glue will affix to the second layer of the collar. Continue to pull the strip tighter until the desired length around the neck is reached.
- 4). Carefully glue the remaining strip around the collar to thicken the collar a little more. Run it through the soda can top again if you need to again; cut the strip when it has gone around the neck twice. Give your pet a magazine to read while the glue dries, and use the paper clip to make sure that the end is glued down to the collar well.
- 5). Remove the clip once the glue has dried. Decorate the collar with the markers to you and your pet's liking.
