Cat Urinating in House? Your Litterbox Could Be the Problem

Is not a pleasant experience to have a cat that urinates all over the house, trying to find out the reasons does take some detective work but one thing you can check is whether your litter box is causing the problems.

when using the box cats like to have an escape route, if it is placed in a corner or recess or only has one exit, then this could be enough to out your cat off.
when cats go to the toilet they feel very vulnerable,they will always have there ears turned backwards so they can hear if something is coming up behind them - they like escape routes.
Cats are very sensitive and don't like to go to the toilet where there is a lot of activity or noise.
Make sure you place the litterbox somewhere your cat can go to toilet in peace.
Cats hate the smell of there own bodily functions, so if they have a dirty litter box they won't use it, keep it clean.
Also, if you have more than one cat, always make sure that they have a box/tray each and a spare.
The type of litter you use will also have an impact on whether the cat will use the tray or not.
Woodchips for example are not very good, cats hate them.
This is just one of the problems you can easily address, if you are having problems with your cat urinating in the house then think about where you have placed the litterbox.
Following the above points will eliminate one of the reasons why the cat avoids the litterbox.
