How to Neutralize Cat Urine on Concrete

    Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda

    • 1). Blot fresh urine with several paper towels. Discard the soiled paper towels in a plastic bag and tie close. Place the plastic bag in an outside trashcan.

    • 2). Pour 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide in a plastic bucket. Add 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of dish soap. Mix with a spoon.

    • 3). Dip a scrub brush in the mixture and begin scrubbing the concrete vigorously. Let the mixture sit on the concrete for 5 minutes.

    • 4). Rinse the concrete clean with a water hose. Repeat the process until all traces of the cat urine and odor are gone.

    White Vinegar

    • 1). Absorb fresh urine by blotting with several paper towels. Place the soiled paper towels in a plastic bag. Secure the bag closed and place in an outside garbage can.

    • 2). Pour 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water in a bucket. Mix with a spoon.

    • 3). Submerge a scrub brush in the vinegar mixture. Scrub the urine-soaked concrete in a vigorous back-and-forth motion.

    • 4). Rinse the concrete with a water hose and let dry.
